DECREE NISI GRANTED. (rtIESS 18SOCH.TIOH - TICLEGE.A.II.) AUCKLAND, November 14. A remarkable story of the operations (Si a drinking club in the nolicense district of Taumarunui was told in the Divorce Court by Olive May Haigh. who petitioned for divorce from Percy Haigli on the ground of habitual drunlcenness a t nd cruelty.. . Sher-said that while in Taumarunui her home was made the headquarters of the "Tui Club." whose members used to order five or ten gallons of beer every week-end and gather round the keg until all of them were more or . less drunk. If anvone was still sober, he would get a bottle of whisky by oaying 255. His Honour: That was after drinking a barrel of beer? Witness: Ye^. The petitioner's step-brother said that some of the men. would get so drunk that they had to stay the night. After hearing other evidence. Mr Justice Smith said that the case was clenrlv established. He granted a decree nisi.
