At a mass meeting inflammatory speeches were made urging the people to break tho laws. The police arrested the leaders after breaking up the meeting, and thereupon a. large mob attack on the police drove them back, and rescued tho prisoners. The superintendent of police rallied his men, who charged the mob with bludgeons. The crowd fled, taking the prisoners with them. Fifty-eight arrests were made.
