N.Z. SEA CADET CORPS.
On Sunday morning about 30 boys of the New Zealand Sea Cadet Corps went to New Brighton. They assembled on the waterfront, and the New Zealand Ensign was hoisted on ebb Life-saving Club's oavilio>i. From thence iSey marched to St. 6" tith s Church for divine service, where th? vicar, a chaplain of the Territorial Forces, preached on the [subject of duty. After lunch the cadets adjourned to the beach, wh;rj a paperchalse, a football match, and n bicycle race were held. The cadetß fell' in and were dismissed at 4 p.m., after an enjoyable day. It is anticipated that the corps will affiliate shortly with the Navy League, and that it will adopt a bluejacket uniform. The commander expresses himself as well pleased with the general conduct of the lads.' The Corps is open to receive recruits—boys from 12 to 16 years of age.
