NORTH BEACH SURF CLUB.
The competition for the B. B. Wood Gup will take place at North Beach to-morrow. This is a seven-man team rescue event. Three teams have entered. The resuscitation work will be judged first, and tho wafer work taken after. The teams are as follows: No 1. Messrs Ross Floyd. C. R. Kiordon. ■T, ' Malcolmson, E. Brand. A. Harvey, A. ni-and and J. Shanks: No. '.'. A. Dalton. 1,. Hill A E. Gallatly, 0. Tregear. G. Wilson. n V Wilson, and A. Teale; No. 3. L. Simm'ond's J. Breward, S. Henry, G. Wood, F. J L. Scott. J. L. Scott, and G Dew. On Saturday last, when crowds of visitors and bathers were at the beach and the sea •K-aa rather dangerous, the Surf Club members had the line and reel on the beach ready for any emergency, but, to their surprise and indignation, discovered that the line was hopelessly tangled around the reel, and ten minutes were spent In nndoine the tanglo.
