A. AND P. SHOW COMPETITIONS.

•CO THE EDITOB Of THS FREBS. Sir —ln the report of the A. and P. Association meeting appearing in The Press this morning. I noticed two very good .suggestions were made by Mr Westenra, one, that ponies ander certain heights should be ridden by boys or girls under certain ages. This suggestion should be adopted, as at the recent show it was noticed that two well-known horsemen were ndmg against children. No doubt there was a point to be gained, but to say the least about it, it was not sporty on their part, and a rule preventing this should be made. The other point brought up was the givin'g of both saddle and harness champion ribbon to the same animal. While this may be possible at a country show, where there is an outstanding animal, it should not happen at a Metropolitan, where there are always animals typical of both saddle and harness—Yours, ctC '' VISITOR.
