ENDURANCE FLIGHT.

SAN FRANCISCO, December 7
It is announced that Captain Kings ford Smith and Lieutenant Pond will make a third attempt at an endurance flight record at seven to-morrow (Thursday) morning. A i'orce of mechanics under the dilection of Flight-Engineer Saltzman worked almost continuously from Sunday evening until to-day on a new rudder for the aeroplane, which -vas then tested under varying load conditions. .
Lieutenant Pond, on descending said the flutter had virtually disappeared.
