The following are the successful candidates in the examination held recently at Christ's College for Entrance Scholarships:— Marks.

Only two scholarships were offered, but in view of the third boy being so close to tlio second a third has been awarded. The maximum marks wero 500.
The following also did well in the examination, though they did not win a scholarship:—N. E. King, Richmond, 27G; A. C. Rains, Beckenham, 259; A. H. H. Martin, Richmond, 248; J. Bates, Elmwood, 242; P. J. Bvrne, Fendalton. 241; T. K. Williams, Normal, 237; D. N. Potts, Lyttclton West, 219: B. T. Claydon, St. Albans, 219; J. R. Anderson. Lyttelton "West, 212; A. Latigesen, Wharenui, 210; and M. Rolls, Richmond, 206. There were 27 candidates from 16 different schools.
