HOME FURNISHING HINTS, BY "CELIA." No. 10. RUGS FOR SUNNY ROOMS,
As _ surely as the thick woollen stockings of yesterday have given place to dainty silk, so in the home woollen carpets are giving tray before tho growing vogue of rugs in Durograss. The reason for the popularity of the new rugs lies in the sunniness of the modern home; where carpets in the Victorian home lived half their life behind drawn blinds, rugs of to-day receive no such coddling. For these changed conditions no rug 3 are so popular a3 Durograss. Sun or tho rain that blows on porches leave them unchanged, and since these rugs are washable the problem of keeping them clean is simple With designs suited to 'die simplicity of the modern home, Durograss rugs are ■ made in a wide range of colourings, while those who prefer the increasingly popular oval shapes will appreciate the designs, and the reinforcing strips that give these styles their strength. It is possible to secure Durograss rugs in most of the best shops. —lO
