MOTORCYCLIST KILLED
■ 4 COLLISION WITH CAR. (pais* lssociatiom -iiligsau.; WAIPUKURAU, December 5. A fatal accident occurred on the Sanatorium hill, a few miles south of TVaipukurau, yesterday afternoon, when a motor-cycle ridden by Neil Anderson, aged twenty-one, Palmerston North, with Sydney Gunderson on tbo pillion, collided with a motor-car driven by F. D. Luckie, farmer, of Hastings. Mr Luckie had just commenced the ascent of the hill, and was near the bend when he met the cyclists, who were unable apparently owing to shingle to get across to the left side of the road.
The motor-cyclists had to be extricated from the twisted frame of their machine under the car by the cardriver and C. W. Donald.
Anderson was frightfully injured and unconscious. He passed away in the hospital at four o'clock this morning Gunderson is still in a critical state.
