SEAMAN INJURED.
WELLINGTON, December 4. . Suffering from severe injuries to his hip through falling on the deck of the steamer Waitaki berthed alongside the wharf at Miramar. an able-bodied seaman.named William Soutar was taken to the hospital at about 11.15 on Saturday. Soutar, whoso homo is at J Huia street. Devonport, Auckland, is making satisfactory progress.
