Signor Mussolini, interviewed by an "Excelsior" representative, explicitly authorised the statement that between France and Italy in cases of difficulty there was only one course, friendship; any other policy would be suicidal for both countries. CONVENTION SIGNED. (Received December sth, 12.30 a.m.) PARIS, December 4. The French and Italian Governments have signed a Convention settling the reciprocal position of their national societies in each other's country.
