SUMNER DENTAL CLINIC.
Colonel Hunter, the Director of Dental Hygiene for the Dominion, visited the Sumner Borough Dental Clinic this week, and was received by representatives of the Sumner District High School Committee, Mr W. V. Siddall, Town Clerk, representing the Mayor (Mr W. H. Nicholson), and the Rev. W. McAra, the president of the Sumner Burgesses' Association. Colonel Hunter, after inspecting the building, heartily congratulated the committee and residents upon the type of building and its furnishings. He particularly stressed the necessity for parents doing their utmost to use the simple treatment recommended to prevent dental disease,. and urged! that they should encourage the children to protect the work done by the officers by simple acts of cleanliness. Nurse Sanderson reported that 5b children had been treated, the treatment including 42 extractions besides fillings and dressings.
