ESCAPEE SENTENCED.

(rar.ss associatios telegram.) TIMAItU, December 2. At the Magistrate's Court, Leslie Alwyn Olson McKenzie was charged with breaking prison' at Timaru on November 27th, and with the theft of two blankets, one overcoat, and two other articles, of a total value of £5. On the charge of breaking gaol he was sentenced to three years in the Borstal Institute, concurrent with tho previous sentence, and on the charges of theft he was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called on. This means an additional sentence of one year.
