TARANAKI FARMERS.
ATTITUDE ON DAYLIGHT SAVING (PRESS AS3OCIATIOI TSLZGRAU.I HAWERA, December 2. The South Taranaki Farmers' Union Executive, which resolved in October to ignore summer time by meeting at twelve o'clock instead of eleven o'clock, met for the first time under the new time-table yesterday. The executive decided to rescind the resolution and meet at eleven o'clock in future. The sponsor of the motion said that he could not agree with Mr Sidey's theory, but it was less inconvenient to reach the meeting an hour earlier than substitute afternoon tea for luncheon. The president (Mr H. Hodge) expressed opposition though he said he was willing to agree with the majority. "Personally," he declared, "I absolutely ignore Sidey's time. I refuse to alter my clock, even for the Queen of England. As far as I'm concerned the meetings will start at ten o'clock."
