Present indications are for moderate to strong southerly winds backing to easterly, and later to north-oasterlies and then increasing to a gale in force in places. The weather will be cold, changeable, and showery on the East Coast between East Capo and Akaroa, but improving temporarily elsewhere, where it will be chiefly fair, but later there will be a renewal of the disturbed conditions, with rain generally. The high-pressure area 1b still centred in the southern parts of NewZealand, while depressions arc situated iu the northorn and south-western Tasman Sea.
