Sir,—Last Christmas, through the generosity of tho people of Christchurch the Samaritan branch of the Salvation Army was enabled to distribute nearly 100 parcels containing the materials for a Christmas dinner. It is well known that the past winter au& spring have been very hard, and manv families have been among the unemployed We .should like again this season to bring some practical cheer to many homes that have had a hard struggle. Contributions of money, groceries, cakes, and sweets will be gratefullv received at 136 Armagh street.
