ENGLISH PARK STADIUM.
* TO-MORROW NIGHT'S SPORTS
The finest programme ever presented at English Park Stadium will be staged tomorrow night. Thrill upon thrill will be provided in the motor-paced cycle race, which will be decided in two heats of three miles each, with a final of five miles. Three riders will take part in each heat and in the final. This class of race is gaining favour with the public, and spectators are aroused to a high pitch of excitement as the motorcycles tear around the track at forty miles per hour, trailed by tho fast-peddling jyciists. Tho race will again be handicapped, and the experience gained last week should have the offect of making to-morrow's race the best ever staged at the Stadium. Mackic will again figure on the scratch' mark, and Uis opponents will be W. T. Weir, the winner of last week's race, C. Austin, the South Island road champion, J. Henderson, J. Bearman, and E. Condon. All the first-class riders have nominated for t! e open cycling events, including A. J. Rodda, C. Bright, W. Mackic, J. Henderson, J. R. I'Anson, J. Bearman, and N. H. Goodman. Record fields will contest tho flat handicaps of 120 yds and 880 yds,. and with the, runners in good form close finishes should result. Tho racing fill commence at eight o'clock, and spocial trams will run from Cathedral square.
