OFFICIAL REPORT.
The first wool sale of the season was held in the Choral Hall yesterday, with a full bench of buyers, representing Bradford, American, and Continental houses, and local mills. There was a good 'selection of fine quality wools, sound and well-grown, but generally lighter than at tne same sale last year Bidding was fairly free, the principal competition coming from the Continent, local, and Australian mills, Brad ord and America taking less than their usual proportions. The following is the range of prices:—

LONDON, November 29. The wool sales were again postponed owing to fog. It was pitch dark at ten in the morning.
BURNSIDE MARKET. >
(fress association telegram.) DUNKDIN, November 30. There was a rise in sheep prices at the Burnside stock salOß to-day, while lambs dropped easily 2s a head on previous prices. ffat Oattle—A yarding of 260 included consignments of prime heavy bullocks and cows; also a few heifers. The demand was very fair, but prices fell about 10s per head. Extra heavy bullocks made 37s 6d per 1001b, prime light 40s to 425, prime heifers 40s, and cows.and light heifers 30s to 355. I'at Sheep—There was a moderate penning at mixed woolly and shorn sheep, about 500 of the former. There were some pennings of unfinished woollies, and a number of shorns. The sale was keen throughout, and showed an advance of fully Is 6d. To-day's was perha'ps the dearest sale for some weeks. Prices were:—Hoavy woolly wethers 57s 6d to 61s, prime 60s to 545, medium 45s to 475, extra heavy shorn wethers 47a to 50s, prime 40s 9d to 42s 9d, nfedium 34s 9d to 38s, extra heavy woolly ewes 41s to 525, medium 33s to 38s, extra heavy shorn ewes 40s 9d to 425, fine 35s to 38s, medium 29s to 335. Primo wethers in the wool made 8d per lb, primo ewes -in the wool 6 Jd, prime shorn wethers 6Jd, light 7Jd. Lambs —One hundred and sixty-three were penned. The quality was for the most part prime. Prices were easier by about 2s per head. Heavy made 31s to 32s 6d, prime 28s to 29s 6d, light 25s to 26s 3d. The price per lb was 7d. Store Cattle —A .fair ontry included some sixty three and four-year-old bullocks, the balance being mixed cows. The demand was fair, and values were similar to those of last week. Prices were: Three and four-year-old bollocks £9 13s to £lO, medium £7 5s to £8 ss, two-year-olds to £5 18s.
i SALE OF SUMNER PROPERTY. The shop sites in Grafton street and the Esplanade property opposite the Cave Rock at Sumner,, which were passed in at auction last week, have since been sold privately by Messrs W. E.
