HEATHCOTE NEWS.

+ k very enjoyable social was held in the Methodist schoolroom on Tuesday evening to entortain all those who had assisted at the recent Rose Show. The programme, which was contributed by various Sumner artists, was as follows:—Songs, Miss Harris, Mrs Ellis, Mr Olds, and Mr Cook; recitations, Mr V Olds. Mrs Heslop was aecompanist for the evening, and Mr A. Beckett performed the duties of M.C. During the evening the balance-sheet lor the recent Rose Show was read, and showed a net profit of £4O 18s.
