Lodge Meeting. The fortnightly meeting of the Loyal City of .Norwich Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held on Tuesday ovening, N.G. Bro. J. Rudd presiding over a good attendance. One new member was initiated into the Order. The following members were elected to the various offices:—V.G. Bro. V. Rceß as. N.G., Bro. S. Martin as V.G., P.G. Bro. W. 0. G. Taylor as elec, sec, Bro. L. Revell as 1.G., Bro. R. Davis as 0.C., P.G. Bro. W. Toomey delegate to Benevolent Association; P.G. Bro. Williams as delegate to U.F.B. Council; P.G. Bros. G. 0. Taylor aud J. F. Lynn as auditors, and P.G. Bros. W. C. G. Taylor, D. Loader, and A. Clarke as Hall Committee. The N.G. elect appointed Bro. W. Bradley as Warden. D.P.G.M. Bro. Griffiths and P.G. Bro. Dobson were present and duly welcomed into the Lodge by the N.G. Bowling. The following teams from the Lyttelton Club have been selected to play for the country in the annual match, Town v. Country, at the Sumner green on Saturday:—W. Holliss, J. Soutar, H. H. Barnard, S. Sinclair (s); W. T. Foster, J. T. Norton, W. C. Cleary, J. Collins (s). The following is the draw for the nrst round of the doubles competition to be finished by December 7th:—R. Clow and D. Pnge v. E. W. Brown and J. H. Collins, J. W. Scott and J. Hudson v. B. Captain T. A. Dykes, Superintendent of Mercantile Marino at Lyttelton, left yesterday on three monthß' holiday leave prior to "retiring on superannuation. Captain 0. M. Renaut has been appointed to the position of Superintendent of Mercantile Marine. Yesterday Captain Renaut, on behalf or the Marine Department's staff at Lyttelton, presented Captain Dykes with a fountain pen and an eversharp pencil, and Bpoko of Captain Dykes'a long service with the Department, and the esteem in which he was held by his fellow officers. He said it was perhaps appropriate that Captain Dykes should retire on St. Andrew's Day, the festival day of the Patron Saint of all Scotsmen. On behalf of the staff he wished. Captain Dykes good health and prosperity in the future. Sale or Work. A sale of work under the auspice* of St. Saviour's Church, will bo held to-mor-row in St. Saviour's Schoolroom, opening at 2.30 p.m. and continuing in the evening. There will be work, cake, faney, sweets, produce, jnmble stalls, and afternoon tea.
