ALASKAN DRAMA.
"ISLE OF RETRIBUTION." QUEEN'S THEATRE, MONDAY. Blinding snow and sleet —the crash of sullen, leaden seas—s drunken captain tearing the heart out of his schooner with strainng canvas and shrieking rigging—and the look-out's terror-stricken cry, "Icet Dead Ahead 1" —then the grinding crash, the schooner reeling, and the escape of the society people aboard to the barren shores of an Alaskan Island ruled by an abysmal brute with a sardonic hutuourl The power of "The Isle of Retribution," which is to be shown at the Queen's Theatre all next week, is like the implacable northern elements themselves. Superbly enacted by a cast which is headed by Lillian Rich and Victor McLaglen, this splendid production surges along to the most thrilling fight ever caught by motion picture camera. Others in the cast are Mildred Harris, Robert Frazer, Kathleen Kirkham, and David Torrence. "Gun Shy," the second attraction, is Franklyn Farmer's latest Western comedydrama, and it possesses all the requisites of a good clean, photoplay. The players in the picture are particularly adapted for the parts they portray. The leading woman is Florence Gilbert. The supports include three comedies, a Felix Cartoon, and three Gazettes. The box plan is at Webley's. where seats may be reserved.
