■ ~ ».. ■■ The first meeting of the committee of the Canterbury Pig Fatteners' Association was held yesterday in the A. and P. Association's room. Mr Yv. 1. Green was appointed chairman, and Mr J. P. Bradford secretary. The Association received an offer of 6Jd per lb for pork on hooks at the works, the pork to be suitable for export, and to be 60-901b dressed weight. It was decided to circularise members respecting the offer. It was resolved to communicate with other centres witli reference to the forming of a New Zealand organisation. * i • i i After a discussion it was decided that a deputation wait on the Minister for Agriculture with reference to representation on the Meat Board for pig producers.
