OVERTIME STRIKE.
THREE ISSUES RAISED. (BI CABM—PRESS ASSOCUTIOK—COPYBIOHT.) (AUSTRALIAN- AND V.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATIOK.) > MELBOURNE, Novembor 23. The Waterside Workers' Federation claims that there are' now three disputes involved in the overtime strike. Exception has been taken because Judge Beeby refused to hear the claims of the Federation. A second dispute has arisen owing to the demands of the Tasmanian members that they are entitled to work loading and unloading cargo at certain ports, which have not been acceded to. Another dispute has arisen in West Australia, between the Federation and the Australian Workers' Union, because it is claimed members of the Australian Workers' Union are performing work which belongs to the Watersiders' Federation. MEN NOT ENTHUSIASTIC. (ACSTBALIAX AND JT.Z. CASUS ASSOCIATE-,'.) (Received November 24th, 1.11 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 23. There was no important development in the watersiders' overtime strike today beyond increased indication of the slower loading of vessels. A conference of shipowners held in Melbourne discussed the position, but reached no decision. It reassembles tomorrow. It is reported from Melbourne that the watersiders do not show a desire to support the executive wholeheartedlv. and the feeling appears to be that the strike will soon end.
