THE JUNIOR CHAMPION. [THE PRESS Special Service.] WELLINGTON, November 22. New Zealand tennis is to suffer a, loss when Camillo Malfroy, the present national junior champion, leaves for Cambridge University at the; end of the present season. Malfroy, who is only eighteen, is considered by leading players in Wellington as possibly the most promising boy player that New Zealand has produced. When the laßt New South Wales team was in the Dominion, Malfroy gained several-victories over different players, was sent to Maaterton by the Wellington Lawn Tennis Association to play exhibition matches with the team, and finally represented Wellington against Canterbury at the close of the season. In the final of the Thomdon Club championship he was beaten by D. G. Franco in five sets, after defeating Dr. Edward Smyth, a New Zealand representative of two seasons ago, in the semi-final.
