t RELIEF FOR RETURNED SOLDIERS. The By-laws and Finance Committee reported to the City Council last night that the Returned Soldiers' Association had enquired whether the Council would subsidise a further sum of £IOO which the Association had in hand for the relief of unemployed returned soldiers. There was an amount of £IOO available in the Bottle Lake plantation vote which could be utilised for the purpose, and the committee had decided that , the Association be informed to this . effect. I The report was adopted.
