FORGED NOTES.
PLOT DISCOVERED IN GERMANY. (BT CABLE— FBXSS ASSOCIATION—COFTJUGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AKD H.I. AKD SUK CABIB.) BEGUN, November 20. A ton of allegedly forged Russian banknotes of a face value of millions of pounds were confiscated at Frankfurt by the police, and ten men were arrested. They include Georgian plotters for the independence of Georgia, which they thus hoped to finnnee. They also included a Munich solicitor and a Frankfurt printer. ATTEMPT TO INJURE SOVIET. (AUBTB.AUAK AND *.Z. CABLE AMOCUTIOX.^ (Received November 21st, 9.50 p.m.) BERLIN, November 21. Following up arrests made in September, the police have brought to light a great conspiracy to forge Soviet notes to the extent of £s,ooo.ott>. The capital, which the forgers cmployed alone was £BOOO, making tha German police of the opinion that the aim of the forgers was to embarrass tho Soviet Government financially. It is even alleged that the capital was furnished from British sources with the secondary purpose of assisting the Georgian anti-Bolshevist movement.
