ENGLISH PARK STADIUM.
MOTOR-PACED RACING. TO-NIGHT'S SPORTS. Owing to the boisterous weather, the sports which were arranged for last Saturday night were postponed until to-night. The programme, which will be carried through in its entirety, consists of a motorpaced handicap of three miles, half and one mile open handicaps, two miles scratch race, 880 yds fiat handicap, and a novelty cycle handicap. Tho motor-paced handicap is the chief attraction, and for the first time in the Dominion will three riders take part in a motorpaced race in one heat. Willie Mackie, who has an unbeaten record for this class of racing, is asked to concede handicaps up to 325 yds, and his efforts to overhaul his opponents will be worth going a long way to see. The contestants in the motor-paced race are all riders with splendid records, and include J. Bearman, J. Henderson, W. T. Weir, C. Austin, and E: Condon. The event. promises to be the most spectacular and thrilling ever staged at English Park Stadium. The entries for the events on the supporting programme are large, and a particularly strong field will contest the two miles tandempaced scratch race. George Getson will be seen at his best in tho 880 yds fiat handicap race. Special trams will leave Cathedral square for English Park at frequent intervals, and the sports will commence at 8 o'clock.
