Social. An enjoyable evening was spent at the final ot the series of socials held each year in aid of the various stalls for the annual rose show. During the evening a "cake" competition was won by Miss M. Cameron. The following contributed items:—Songs, Miss Ellen Scott; recitation, Miss Edna King. Miss D. Westbrooke played the accompaniments, and Mr W. Connolly supplied music for the games. > Domain Monster Carnival. At a meeting of the Social Committee ot the monster carnival, an offer was received from Mrs J. H. Cocks to provide an entertainment in the Olub Hall on November 23rd. This offer was accepted with thanks. It was decided to hold a dance at the conclusion of the concert.
