BAND OF HOPE.
♦ The final meeting for the year of the North Brighton United Band of Hope took the form of a social in the North Beach Peace Memorial Hall, Mr Robert Parker- presiding over a large gathering of children and adults. The children spent a most enjoyable evening in games, etc., Mrs J. F. Eames acting as pianist. Short addresses were given by Mr E. A. M. Leaver, president of the Canterbury Band of Hope Union, Mesdames C. Dixon, Goring, and Parker. The children were invited to take part in a church parade at the Presbyterian Church, New Brighton, on Sunday, November 27th.
