FOREIGN SHIPPING PRE- _ DOMINATES. (BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION (AUSTBALIAH AND N.Z. CABLB ASSOCIATION.) WASHINGTON, November 16. The United States Shipping Board announces that American vessels carried less than one-third of the American foreign trade during 1926. A survey showed! that 5761 ships, aggregating 26,830,000 tons, handled the nation's foreign trade, of which 1678 ships, totalling 7,336,000 tons, were American-owned. The United States shipping bill for 1926 amounted to more than 728,000,000 dollars, ana foreign shippers received over 480,000,000 dollars for carrying United States trade.
