WAIKATO. (PBESS ASSOCIATION TELIORAM.) HAMILTON, November le. The Waikato A. and P. Association's thirtysixth annual show was opened in unfavourable weather to-day. The stock submitted to the judges was of a high quality. The Waikato Jersey Breeders' Oaks, 1927, was ■won by W. J. Chenoweth's Marshland's Cream. The champion Jersey cow was W. J. Heir's Jersey Brae Seassel, and the reserve champion Moreland and Son's Beechlands Violette. The champion Jersey bull was "W. J. Chenoweth's Sybil's Earl. The Waikato Hunt Club Cup for cleverest hunter was won by B. M. Myers's Heather Bell. EGMONT. (press association telegbam.) - HAWEEA, November 16. The Egmo.nt A. and P. Show was opened to-day in cold rain, which fell continuously during the morning, and inconvenienced the judging and ring competitions. Owing to the sodden ground the motor gymkhana was abandoned, and the evening sports programme postponed till the second day. The entries of pedigree cattle showed a decrease. The pig section included 80 exhibits from Hawke's Bay. The total entries, 156, are stated to be a Dominion record. The actual number of animals, including the group classes, was considerably in excess of tho entries mentioned. Championship awards in the pedigree classes were:— Friesians-—Bull, TV. H. Slater's Alcartra Eozine Regis; cow, H. E. Johnson's Netherland Jean. Ayrshires—Bull, W. Hudson's Edendale Fancy Star;, cow, P. Mills's Waipara Princess Mary. Jerseys—Bull, J. Pettigrew's Siingold; cow, B. L. Horn's Eu Ku Booklet. Pigs—Berkshire boar, J. Pill's entry; sow, D. Stewart. Tarn worth boar, J. Thomlmson; sow, Bowenand Wilson.
