RELIEF WORKS TO BE STARTED. (BY CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received November 15th, 8.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, November 15. The Government has announced the starting of relief works for unemployed and work will be found immediately for 1600 men.
POSITION IN VICTORIA. (AUSTRALIAN AXB K.Z. AHD SUIT CABLE.) (Received November loth, 11.15 p.m.) MELBOURNE, November 15. The Trades Hall Council estimates that there are 8000 unionists unemployed in Victoria, while at the Government Labour Bureau 4000 unemployed are registered.
