IMPRESSIVELY PICTURED. "WEEKLY PRESS" COVERS CURRENT TOPICS. The New Zealand cricketers who recently completed a successful tour of England will be in Christchurch on Friday to play a match against the Rest of New Zealand. A photograph of the representatives appears this week in the "Weekly Press," together with views of their match in Sydney and their arrival at Wellington. There are many sporting pictures in the current series of illustrations, for the cameras made attractive records of the Carnival Week racing at Riccarton and Addington. The Dominion's leading horses in both classes of sport were seen in action, and all who are interested in racing and in horses will find much to admire. The Royal Show pictures published this week form a very striking collection indeed, fine panoramic views of the memorable scenes on the grounds, selected photographs of noteworthy exhibits, and snapshots of the jumping contests being full of vivacity. From many contributing sources the "Weekly Press" has gathered pictures descriptive of recent events, among them the collision which resulted in the loss of a ferry steamer in Sydney harbour. A page of new camera studies from the Southern Lakes will apoeal to all lovers of the beautiful. In reading matter the "Weekly Press" maintains the character of a family magazine, providing plenty of instructive articles and entertaining stories. Particularly notable features are the first of a series of articles on the great shipwrecks that have occurred in New Zealand waters, and the discussion by ono of the regular contributors of the merits of ordinary and industrial life assurance. Every agent will have the "Weekly Press" on sale this morning.
