QUEEN'S THEATRE.
"Almost a Lady," at the Queen's Theatre, features Marie Prevost and Harrison Ford, two very clever character actors. The story * concerns Marcia Blake, a model employed in the fashionable shop of Monsieur' Henri. Marcia displays gowns to Mrs Reilly, a social climber, and her husband, and the latter is caught flirting with Marcia by his wife. Marcia is invited to a reception at the Reilly home and sees William Duke, who is supposed to, be the Duke of Lankershein. He is a social lion, and is anxious to meet Vonna Vola, a famous writer. Vonna Vola is unable to be present, and Mrs Reilly, in great despair, asks Marcia to impersonate her, and is presented as the authoress. Marie Prevost has a splendid opportunity for demonstrating a colourful role, in which she is at her best. Harrison Ford makes a perfect character of the "Duke," and he is supported well by Geo. Arthur and Trixie Friganxa. "Fast and Furious," a Universal picturisation of Reginald Denny's original story, is the second big feature. Embracing an allstar cast, the picture will add another host of admirers to the already large following of Denny. "Fast and Furious" is the story of a speed maniac whe meets his Waterloo when he essays a test on the broad highway with old man Miller.
