The last meeting of the Sydenham Union, which was well attended, took the form of a social tendered to the mothers and babies of the cradle roll. Mrs Rowntree gave a very usexul talk to the mothers on the training of children in the habit of self-control. She was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for her interesting address. Mrs Vincent and Mrs Tumber gave vocal solos, and Mrs W. Teague a recitation, which, were much appreciated. Miss Watt (Cradle Roll Superintendent) reported that there were 60 children on the roll.
