THE AIR FORCE.
TERRITORIALS TO TRAIN. For the purpose of putting some new blood into the Air Force of New Zealand, selected Territorials who have the necessary qualifications are to be given an opportunity of learning to become efficient air pilots. Over 100 applications have been made by Territorials for this work, and last night Captain J. L. Findlay, of the Wigram Aerodrome, left for Auckland to assist in making a selection of ten men. It is probable that the 1.2 weeks' course which has been mapped out will commence on Monday next at the Wigram Aerodrome when the ten selected trainees will be given flights as observers in order to test their air sense. i.len with a knowledge of, and skill with, motor engines, will probably be available for training as mechanics. The scheme for training Territorials has nothing to do with the usual "refresher courses" that are carried out at the Aerodrome, the latter being for ex-war pilots only.
