STYX W.C.T.U.
♦ The Styx W.C.T.U. held the annual meeting of the cradle roll deoartment in the Presbyterian Church. Mrs Donald presided over a largo attendance. Misses G. and S. Dobby, superintendents, reported a cradle membership of 110. Mrs T. E. Taylor addressed the meeting using the reports of modern eminent scientists on the injurious effects of alcohol on pre-nafa! physique. Musical and elocutionary items were' given by Gladys and Muriel Collison, .Tanie Barnes. Jean Hardin??, Warren Blain, Charlotto Evans, and Tui Titheridge. who pr.v rented a bouquet of roses to Mrs T. E. Taylor. Afternoon tea was dispensed and each child received a. balloon and noveltv sweet.
