HEATHCOTE NEWS.
Domain Carnival. The Carnival Committee is making a big effort to raise funds for improvements to the Domain, and also for beautifying purposes. At a meeting of the committee it was- decided that the carnival should take place in December, in the Heathcote Domain. The following is the list of officers: —Patron, Sir B. Heaton Rhodes; pre'sident, Mr C. Flavell; vice-presidents, Drs. C. H. Upham and B. Gilmour; Messrs J. McCombs, M.P., A. Bloxam, E. Preece, Fred. King, Frank King, B. Wareing, J. F. Scott, C. H Hewlett, B. Nairn, J. Bound, T. Hempstalk, H. Barnard, h. Shearman, W. Lester, J. T. Norton, F. Hobbs, F. E. Sutton, L. Salt, A Beckett, B. Riley, A. Morten, A. J. Park, G. D. McFarlane,\J. Gilmour; lion, auditor, Mr 0. W. B. Anderson; joint hon. secretaries, Messrs L, B. Adam and W. A. Breach. Church Parade. An Armistice Day service was held at St. Mary's Church, Heathcote, on Sunday, when the preacher for the evening was Mr T. W. Bowe. Quite a large muster of Territorials and Cadets was present, in command of Begi-mental-Sergeant-Major Hnnter, of Christchurch.
