AEOLIAN CLUB (INC.).
The second public recital, 1927 season, of the .Eolian Club will be held in tie Choral Hall to-night (Tuesday), at 8 p.m. The jEolian Club, which was begun about three years ago has introduced several new works lo Christchurch audiences, and it h»3 been constantly praised for the high standard of performance maintained. To-night' 6 programme includes: Theme and variations for two pianos (Schumann), Mazeppa (Lizt), Concerto in B Flat Minor, first movement (Tchaikovsky), "In Deep Woods" and "Joy of Autumn" (Macdowell), polka (Rachmaninov), Cubana (de Fallal, Fcte-dieu a Seville (Albeniz), and the following vocal items: "Softly Sighs" (Weber), "Within These Sacred Bowers" (Mozart), Cradle Song (Ropartz), Morning (Kachmaninov) This programme will be given by the following club membeis—Misses Olive Cooper, Lucy Fullwood, Violet Halliday, Bessio Pollard, Eunice Tait, Messrs F. Page and H. Thomas. The box plan is now open at The Bristol. Prices, 3s 6d (reserved) and 2s 6d.
