NEW TREATY.

PRANCE AND JUGO-SLAVIA. (BI CABLB—rBBSS ASSOCIATION— COPIBIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. AND SUN CABLE.) FARIS, November 11. The French and Jugo-Slavian Foreign Ministers. Mm. Briand and Marinkovitch, have signed a treaty of friendship and arbitration, and jointly issued a statement that both countries intended to work in full harmony with the League of Nations. It was believed that the treaty would strengthen the economic bonds of the two countries, and the treatv was based on their unbroken friendship. The text would be published after it was registered with the League Secretariat. It would then be seen that the treaty did not aim at any country, but entirelv conformed with the principles of the League. It might even be a germ of a new Locnrno. The Italian Government has been kept informed of the negotiations.
