ALLEGED FRAUD.
LORD TERRINGTON'S CASE. (BI CABLE—PRESS ASSOCIATION— COPYRIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLK ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, November 11. An astonishing detail was revealed in connexion with Lord Terrington's alleged frfhids, in r. law-suit in which Sir Harold Eeckitt is seeking to recover from a motor firm £2OO Lord Terrington paid out on Sir Harold Eeckitt's account.
Sir Harold Reckitt gave evidence that when ho. was recalled from India, Lord Terrington, whom he had known since boyhood and who had been acting as his attorney, admitted thai, he had drawn £47,000, though Sir Harold Reckitt later found that more than £250,000 had gone. The case was adjourned. [Lord Terrington, a bankrupt; was extradited from France, where he had gone, being brought back to London to face his creditors.] JUDGE'S RULING. (AUSTRALIAN AND N.Z. CABLE ASSOCIATION.) (Received November 13th, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, November 12. Delivering judgment in favour of Sir Harold Reclritt, Mr Justice Rowlatt said that the power of attorney given to Lord Terrington was wide, but did not justify his filling his own pockets at Sir Harold Reckitt's expense.
