AEOLIAN CLUB.
The second public recital, 1927 season, of the Aeolian Club will be held in the Choral Hall to-morrow night, at 8 o'clock. Works by composers representative of the classical and modern schools will appear in a well-arranged programme. Of the more modern music "Polka de W. K." (Rachmaninoff) will be played by Miss Violet Halliday; "Cubana" (Manuel de Falla) and "Fete-dicu a Suite" will be played by Mr F. Page; Miss Lillian Hanham will sing "Cradle Song," by the modern French song-writer Guy Ropatz. and Mr H. Thomas will sing "Morning" (Rachmaninoff). Other items will include Schumann's Theme and Variations for two pianos the first movement of Tchaikovsky's Concerto in B flat minor, Liszt's Symphonic Poem for the piano, "Mazeppa," and two attrac : live sketches from Macdowell's "New England Idylls." The box plan is now open at The Bristol. Prices, 3s 6d reserved, and 2s 6d.
