INCREASED TAXATION.
SOUTH AUSTRALIAN BUDGET. (BY CABLI—PRBSS ASSOCIATION— COPTWOHT.) (AUST&AUAW AND K.Z. CABLE ASSOCUTIOV.) (Received November 11th, 12.20 p.m.) ADELAIDE, November 10. The Budget introduced in the Assembly proposes heavy increases of taxation, including a super-tax of twentyfive per cent, on land, a super-tax of twenty-five*per cent, on all incomes from companies and of individuals, and a reduction of the exemftfon from £l5O to £IOO. Stamp duty will be increased three hundred per cent., and railway fares and rates of freight will also be increased. The Premier, in announcing the Budget proposals, said last year the revenue per head of population was £lB 17s lOd and the expenditure £2O 14s 7d.
