NJ3-CONFIDENCE MOTION DEFEATED. (bi cable— prbss association—copyeioht.) (aubtbaliax .and n.z. cabls association.) (Received November 11th, 1.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 10. In the Assembly Mr Lang moved a motion of censure in the form of an amendment to the Address-in-Reply, that the Government, for failure to take further action against thft "Sydney Morning Herald" and others in connexion with their, 1 - remarks anent Mr A.' B. Piddington's basic wage declarations and other" judgments was not deserving of the confidence of the House. Tho motion was taken through all stages at one sitting and was defeated by 43 v«tes to 40. The Address-in-Reply was then carried by 43 votes to 40, the voting being on purely Party lines.
