PRISONERS SENTENCED
(PBISS ASSOCIATION TCLZGBAU.) PALMERSTON XORTH, November 10. In the Supreme Court, George Cunningham, a. middle-aged man, for theft from a dwelling at Bulls, was sentenced to three months' hard labour. Michael Hannah, 23, who pleaded gaiUy to breaking and entering the office at the railway deviation with intent to commit a crime, was sentenced to a year's hard labour. Counsel for accused, in entering a plea for leniencv, said that prisoner was not alone in the transaction. He was merely a' tool in the whole matter. The evidence in the Lower Court disclosed another man was in the scheme, and indicated ■ that he or somebody. else gave information to the police. It looked as if the prisoner was not only a tool, but a. fool.
