OLYMPIC GAMES FUND. (PXESS ASSOCIATION TELXQ&IX.) AUCKLAND, November 9. Proposals for raising lands to send a New Zealand team to compete in the next Olympic Games were 'outlined by Mr Forrest, organiser for the New Zealand Olympic Council, who Eta ted that it would cost £7OOO to send four men. He said that the Council would appeal to the Government for help when it was shown that the public were supporting the proposals. Mr Forrest was assured that Auckland would do its best to help in railing fnnds. The chairman said the feature that appealed to him most was the raising of a fund of £20,000 tp provide more grounds and to stimulate training. The actual sending of the team to the next Olympic appeared to him to be a secondary consideration.
