Scenes of medieval splendour marked the wedding at Naples of the Prince Amadeo, Duke of Apulia, and cousin of King Emmanuel of Italy, to the Princess Anne, daughter of the Due da Guise, pretender to the Tyrone of France. The union of the Houses of Savoy and Orleans attracted a glittering assembly, including the Kings of Italy, Spain, and Bulgaria, wearing the uniforms of their highest army ranks, and a host of princeß and princesses. Naples was indescribably gay. The procession of nine gilded through the decorated streets, lined with 500,000. spectators, in glorious sunshine, will long be remembered. The Princess's dress was of ivoty white satin, with a veil of Chantilly lace, worn by her mother at her wedding.
