LIFE-SAVING.
NORTH BEACH CLUB. A meeting of the North Beach Surf and Life-Saving Club was held in the pavilion, there being present: Messrs A. Dalton (in the chair), E. H. Barker, D. Wilson, W. Smith, F. Alabaster, P. Hill, A. Brand, F. J. Tj. Scott, and J. Breward (secretary). It was decided to invite the Mayor of New Brighton to open the season, and also to invite all the vice-presidents tti be present. On the motion of Mr W. Smith, it was decided that if the North Beach Foreshore Improvement Society did not hold a gala on Boxing Day, that the club hold a beach carnival. A letter was received from the New Brighton Borough Council, requesting support for tha Summer Time Appreciation Fund. Mr Dalton, sen., forwarded a donation of one guinea, and accepted the position of vice-president.
