CANTERBURY CLUB FOURS. The final of the president's fours race was rowed last night, when M. S. Styche (stroke), C. L. Bacon (three), G. \V. A. Day (two), and 11. R. Coster (bow) defeated C. S. Morris (stroke), K L. Young (three), G. B. Johnson (two), and H. McGrath (bow). Morris lost two lengths through a faulty start, but in a fine effort drew up on terms at Cowlishaw's corner. A collision there hampered Styche's crew, and the latter were a clear length /behind on turning the corner. Morris, who had taken his opponent's water, was unable to maintain the advantage, and Styche overhauled him near (ho finish and won on a foul as the result of a further collision.
