People killed'in motoring accidents in the United/'States during, the last eight years exgeed the total .-number of American soldiers who lost their lives in the war. /The are:—From January Ist, 1919, to December 31st, 1926, more than 137.000 persons were killed by motor-cars, while the total deaths of the war jn the American armed forces was 120.050. The number of those injured in motoring accidents since the Armistice was 3,500,000.
